We are aware of purchase, loan, and lease-to-own transactions involving "The Tule River Homebuyer Earned Equity Agency" (TRHEEA). TRHEEA is a subsidiary of a federally chartered Section 17 corporation under 25 U.S.C. §5124, a related tribal entity of the Tule River Indian Tribe of the Tule River Reservation, California, a federally recognized Indian tribe (the "Tribe").
An insurance transaction where TRHEEA is a party is a Native American/Indian Lands transaction per Stewart Bulletin SLS2024002 and must be addressed per applicable Stewart Title Guaranty Company underwriting guidelines. At minimum, Senior Underwriter approval is required for any such transaction.
