On October 31, 2012, Governor Cuomo signed Executive Order 52 (Attached). This Executive order temporarily suspends statutory time limitations on commencing an action and time to take appeals. This Order is valid until further notice by the Governor.
In the event you are clearing title based upon the expiration of a statutory time limitation or the ability of a party to appeal an order, please pay special attention to this Executive Order and contact Stewart Title Legal Services for guidance.
