Effective June 1, 2008 it will no longer be necessary to file the DR-219 form when recording any deed transferring an interest in Florida real property. To avoid confusion as to the proper documentary stamp tax owed, it is suggested that the amount of consideration paid be included in the body of the deed. If this is not done, you should verify with the clerk what they will accept.
