- Chautauqua County Mortgage Tax Increase
Chautauqua County has enacted the local law necessary to implement the increase in mortgage tax as authorized by state statute earlier this year. Effective October 1, 2005, the total mortgage tax for properties located in Chautauqua County will be one dollar and twenty five cents per one hundred dollars of debt secured, or 1.25% of the mortgage amount.
