The Washington Department of Insurance has approved Stewart Title Guaranty Company’s latest Endorsement rate submission. The new Washington rate filing has been approved for orders opened on or after July 14, 2025.
A copy of the revised Schedule of Charges for Title Insurance in the State of Washington (“Rate Manual”) is available here.
These rates have been provided to third-party title production system (TPS) vendors. Please contact your TPS vendor or account services representative to have the new/revised rates implemented in your system.
A summary of the changes to the Rate Manual is outlined in the red-lined version that shows the changes made in this filing. (Available here.)
1. Section I, D. – Explanation of Section VI and how to charge in Section VI.
2. Section III, C. Additional Examination Charges – This section has been deleted from the manual.
3. Section V, Rate Reductions - Added a new section: “G. High Value Commercial Transactions.” These are being added to remain competitive when requested to price larger deals.
4. Section VI, Endorsements – Endorsements were moved from an Endorsements Manual that was used by Commercial and Residential. Commercial Endorsements are now separate from the Residential Endorsements and are added to this manual.
