- UNDERWRITING - Transfer on Death Deeds - Nebraska
Attached is Nebraska Department of Revenue Bulletin 15-1, which supersedes earlier guidance from the Department, and clarifies requirements for cover sheets, Form 521s (Real Estate Transfer Statement), and death certificates, both generally and as they apply to Transfer on Death Deeds.
You are reminded that it will ordinarily be necessary that State Inheritance Tax be determined when a Transfer on Death Deed becomes effective, i.e., at the death of the transferor/grantor.
