RE:
Endorsement Checklist

Dear Associates:

The Department of Insurance has approved the use of the endorsement checklist. Please see referenced form at the end of this bulletin.

The sole purpose of the checklist is to reduce the amount of paper used in connection with the issuance of a title insurance policy. With the use of the checklist, you can issue the checklist in lieu of the individual pieces of paper which would carry the full text of each endorsement listed. The effect will be exactly the same as if the endorsements set out in full were attached to the policy.

It is totally at the option of the lenders with which you are dealing as to whether the checklist may be used in lieu of the various endorsements. The checklist is not to be used with owners policies.

THIS BULLETIN IS FURNISHED TO INFORM YOU OF CURRENT DEVELOPMENTS. AS A REMINDER, YOU ARE CHARGED WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE CONTENT ON VIRTUAL UNDERWRITER  AS IT EXISTS FROM TIME TO TIME AS IT APPLIES TO YOU, AS WELL AS ANY OTHER INSTRUCTIONS. OUR UNDERWRITING AGREEMENTS DO NOT AUTHORIZE OUR ISSUING AGENTS TO ENGAGE IN SETTLEMENTS OR CLOSINGS ON BEHALF OF STEWART TITLE GUARANTY COMPANY. THIS BULLETIN IS NOT INTENDED TO DIRECT YOUR ESCROW OR SETTLEMENT PRACTICES OR TO CHANGE PROVISIONS OF APPLICABLE UNDERWRITING AGREEMENTS. CONFIDENTIAL, PROPRIETARY, OR NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION SHOULD NEVER BE SHARED OR DISSEMINATED EXCEPT AS ALLOWED BY LAW. IF APPLICABLE STATE LAW OR REGULATION IMPOSES ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS, YOU SHOULD CONTINUE TO COMPLY WITH THOSE REQUIREMENTS.
